Brock Matthews, Director of Business Development & Patient Care
Brock feels that he has been extremely fortunate to be able call Colorado home for the past 32 years.  Growing up in Monument and then attending the University of Colorado in Boulder, Brock has stayed true to his native roots.  Before joining the Distinctive Dentistry team in 2000, Brock spent 7 years working for the Colorado Avalanache/ Denver Nuggets, Vail Resorts and his own Strategic Partnership & Marketing company.  Brock has always had an interest in bringing his experience into the medical profession and is very excited to be a part of the Distinctive Dentistry team.   Brock assists the patients of Distinctive Dentistry with the following:  understanding of diagnosed treatment, developing a timeline & phases for treatment, creating financial arrangements that patients can manage through 0% financing, assisting patients with utilizing & fully understanding their insurance coverage and providing 5-star customer service. Outside of work, Brock enjoys spending time with his wife Carly and their beautiful daughter Kylie.  As a family, they enjoy traveling, fitness, worship, & spending time with close friends and family.

Debrinka Plutt, Hygiene Coordinator
Debrinka has been an active member in the dental field for 4 ½ years.  She began her dental career as hygiene assistant and sterile technician for 3 ½ years prior to becoming a hygiene coordinator.  Debrinka is also certified and provide care for our patient’s who are interested in Invisalign & Zoom Whitening treatments.  Distinctive Dentistry has been fortunate to have Debrinka as apart of our team since July 2003.  Debrinka also enjoys traveling and is still actively involved in booking trips as a travel agent.  

Lindsay Austin, Dental Assistant
Lindsay is a recent graduate from Dental Assisting School in February 2006 and very excited to be working in the dental profession.  Lindsay just moved back to Colorado from South Dakota and hopes to make Colorado her home for a very long time. She is committed to providing patients with the best education and care possible.  When Lindsay isn’t spending time at Distinctive Dentistry, you’ll find her enjoying hiking in the mountains and exploring beautiful Colorado.  Distinctive Dentistry is excited to welcome Lindsay to our team.     

Michelle Frederick, Expanded Duties Dental Assistant
Michelle has been a Dental Assistant for 20 years and a valued part of Distinctive Dentistry since 2004.  With a tender, caring and warm touch in all aspects of dentistry, Michelle loves to see patients smile with confidence.  One of the aspects that allows Michelle to excel in dentistry, is her commitment to learning and advancing her knowledge in the field.  One of the greatest joy’s of Michelle’s life outside of dentistry is her husband Ken and two dogs Dakota and Cheyenne.    

Mary Maes, Registered Dental Hygienist
Mary has been associated with Distinctive Dentistry since 1992 and is truly a valued team member.  Mary graduated from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1983 and promptly moved to Colorado Springs.  Mary is a part-time Hygienist with Distinctive Dentistry and is typically in the office on Monday & Wednesday.  One of the areas that Mary enjoys most is working with patients to reach their optimum dental health & celebrating their successes.   Mary & her husband Felix have two sons: Josh age 20 & Jared age 13.   

Sandy Matthews, Business Manager
Sandy left her career as an elementary school teacher to take on the role of Business Manager with our dental team back in 1985.  Not only does Sandy handle the day to day operations of the office, she often times is called upon to support hygiene and sterilization.  Sandy graduated from Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio, and made Colorado her home when her husband served in the military in Colorado Springs.  When not at the office, her favorite times are spent with family.  Sandy is the proud mother of 3 children and loves being a grandma to her grandson Chase and granddaughter Kylie.  Traveling, hiking, bowling, reading, and her dogs are among her main interests.  Sandy also has found a passion in serving others on mission trips abroad.
